About Alice

BSc. (Hons), PgD. Vet Phys, NAVP, BHSAI
Alice has always had a passion for horses, pursuing an equine career path from the age of 16, when she spent many happy and informative years at Hartpury College. Alice got into physiotherapy after experiencing the huge benefits of treatment on her own horses has never looked back.
During her time at Hartpury College she was able to observe many different equine therapies leading her to choose a specialist animal based career path with the NAVP. Alongside studying she spent a lot of time working on different private and professional yards gaining a large amount of industry experience from top level eventing and show jumping, to pleasure driving and endurance, giving her a varied and firm grounding in the equine industry. During this time she also gained her BHSAI instructors qualification and worked for 3 years as an instructor at various establishments.
Alice still loves to teach and has been running regular physiotherapy based Gym Clinics at World Horse Welfare, Glenda Spooner Farm which have been going strong for over a year now proving popular with all ages and abilities.

In her spare time Alice enjoys spending time with her own horse Daisy, especially if it involves eventing. Daisy has kept her physiotherapy and riding skills fairly sharp during the first year of their partnership but is turning into a lovely and enjoyable event horse (/pet) and is a real credit to all the ex-racehorses looking for new careers.
Alice provides a personal and professional physiotherapy service treating animals of all shapes and sizes although her specialism is horses, Alice is no stranger to treating both the children’s pony or the competition horse and treats every horse as an individual providing the best possible care following her moto: striving for soundness, suppleness and success.
